Study Tour / Holiday Group Programme

This specially designed programme is for overseas students who want to have an experimental experience of studying in New Zealand by participating in a wide range of exciting activities and situations while studying at Victoria Institute of New Zealand for a short period of time (2 – 12 weeks). It is also an ideal way of practising English with new friends and teachers from all over the world.

The mornings are devoted to classroom study – there are choices of modules and subjects. The focus is on practical, useful English skills in real life situations.

During the afternoons students learn English while participating in a range of interesting and exciting activities. New Zealand offers some of the best recreation and outdoor activities in the world. There are adventure sports such as sailing, diving, skiing and snowboarding, surfing, white water-rafting, mountain climbing, bungy-jumping and horse riding. There are also exciting team sports such as soccer, rugby, cricket, netball, beach volleyball and basketball. All these activities are offered as optional afternoon activities. You can choose the activities you prefer.

There is also a variety of cultural and travel activities: visits to museums, art galleries, craft work- shops, farms, islands and tourist attractions. The new language skills, structures and vocabulary that you learn during these activities are consolidated in follow-up lessons in the classroom with expert teachers.
